Push

A push is a situation when a bet is settled with odds of 1.00.
What is a cash out in betting
Push occur if
an event is cancelled, rescheduled, or stopped. Push is also stipulated by the rules for settling bets on whole-number handicaps and totals.

How are push calculated for Single, Multiple and System bets?

If a
Single
bet
is a push
, the player gets their bet amount back.
  • You bet EUR 10 on an event with odds of 2.50.
  • The event was cancelled and settled as a push with odds of 1.00.
  • You receive the EUR 10 you bet back on your account.
A push event in a
Multiple
 or
System
bet is counted as winning with odds 1.00. The total Multiple or System odds are recalculated, taking into account the change in event odds.
  • You place a Multiple bet with three events, each with odds of 2.00, 3.00 and 1.50.
  • The total Multiple odds are 2.00 × 3.00 × 1.50 = 9.00.
  • The match you bet on with odds of 2.00 was cancelled. The bet is settled as a push with odds of 1.00.
  • Taking into account the push, the odds were recalculated: 1.00 × 3.00 × 1.50 = 4.50.

What bets can be a push?

Bet push for an integer total

Integer

totals

are settled as a push if the value of the bet and number of goals scored are equal.
You bet on the total number of more than 4 goals in

a

match. The

match ended with a

score of

3:1.
  • The total is: 3 + 1 = 4
  • Compare with the bet total: 4 = 4
The total is equal to the number of

goals. The

betting company settles the

bet as

a

return.

Bet push for an integer handicap

A bet on an integer
handicap
is settled as a push if, taking into account the value of the handicap in the match, it ends in a draw.
You bet on CSKA winning with a handicap of (-1). The match ended 2:1 in favour of CSKA.
  • Taking into account the handicap, the number of goals made by CSKA is: 2 - 1 = 1
  • Therefore, the score taking the handicap into account is 1:1
Taking the handicap into account, the match ended in a draw. The betting company settles the bet as a return.

When are all bets on a match are settled as a push?

If a match is cancelled, rescheduled, interrupted or discovered to be fixed.

Match cancelled

If an event is cancelled, all bets on it are settled as a push.
Cancelling a match is a radical decision that is rarely made. Most often, matches are postponed instead of cancelled, and the tournament calendar is revised. Matches can be cancelled due to a participant's failure to arrive or health concerns regarding the spread of a virus. For example, in the 2019/20 season, the French championship was stopped after 28 rounds due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the remaining matches were cancelled. PSG was named the champion because at the time they were in the lead in the standings.

Match rescheduled

If an event is rescheduled by three or more days, all bets on it are settled as pushes. The decision to postpone a match is made based on the results of a meeting of observers, referees and participant representatives.
Organisers will postpone a match if it is impossible or dangerous to play. Everything depends on the type of sport. For example, in football, a match may be postponed in the event of snow or heavy rain. The likelihood of postponing a match in bad weather depends on the stadium's technical equipment. Modern arenas have a heated field and good drainage systems so matches can be held even in pouring rain without significantly compromising the game. Some stadiums, such as Gazprom Arena, also have retractable roofs that block the field from rain and snow, so matches at stadiums like these are less often rescheduled.
Since 2020, most matches are postponed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. If signs of illness are detected, organisers quarantine the infected players, and in some cases, even the entire team. In this case, organisers reschedule the game to a later date, and bets are pushed.

Match interrupted

Bets on interrupted matches are settled as a push. Each sport has a limit at which a match is considered interrupted:
  • Football — less than 65 minutes played. In non-standard format tournaments, a

    match is

    considered interrupted if

    less than 70% of

    the time is

    played.
  • Hockey — less than 45 minutes are played.
  • Basketball — less than 35 minutes played if

    the

match lasts 48 minutes; less than 28 minutes played if

    the

    match lasts 40 minutes.
  • Bandy — less than 60 minutes are played.
  • American Football — less than 50 minutes are

    played.
  • Baseball — less than 5 innings are

    played.
  • 3x3 basketball — less than 70% of

    time is

    played or

both teams score less than 16 points.
  • Other sports — less than 70% of time is

    played.
If at the time a match is stopped it

is

a

draw, but the

rules of

the

sport do

not

provide for

a

draw, then the

match is

also considered interrupted, regardless of

the

amount of

time played.
If a bet has already been settled when the match was stopped, it will not be
a push
.

Matches are interrupted if the organisers believe conditions are dangerous. For example, if fans light pyrotechnics, throw things at players, or run out onto the field, then organisers ask the participants off the field and stop the match. If the fans calm down, the match continues, and if not, it is interrupted.

Match fixing

If Fonbet believes that a match may have been
fixed
, then bets on

it

are

settled as

a

return.
Fonbet receives information on

match fixing from Federbet, an

international anti-match fixing organisation.
Fixed matches are rare, and only a few people know about them in advance. The match organisers will not spread information about it so as not to attract unwanted attention. If you are offered to buy information about a fixed match, then you are dealing with a scammer who will only give you a random recommendation with no guarantee of winning. You can
