With Giannis Antetokounmpo now officially part of its roster, the Greek National Team is traveling to Cyprus for the games of Group C of FIBA EuroBasket 2025, which will take place in Cyprus at the Spyros Kyprianou Sports Center from August 28 to September 4.
Following the friendly game against France, the head coach of the “Official Beloved,” Vassilis Spanoulis, announced the twelve players who will head to Limassol. Among them is Panathinaikos’ Kostas Sloukas, while the naturalized player will be Olympiacos’ Tyler Dorsey.
Also present will be the captain of the National Team, Kostas Papanikolaou, along with his Olympiacos teammates Giannoulis Larentzakis and Kostas Antetokounmpo, while from Panathinaikos, Dinos Mitoglou, Panagiotis Kalaitzakis, Vassilis Toliopoulos, and Alexandros Samontourov have also been called up. The latter was recently distinguished at the U20 EuroBasket held in Heraklion.

Greece is Cyprus’ partner in organizing the biggest sporting event ever held on the island. Sharing the same group, they will face each other for the first time in an official game, which will take place on Saturday, August 30, at 18:15.
Before that matchup with our own national side, Greece will face Italy in the game that will close out the opening day of the tournament (Thursday, 28/08, 21:30).
Afterward, in the third round of games, Greece will play against Georgia (Sunday, 31/08, 15:00), followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina (Tuesday, 02/09, 15:00), and will wrap up its group-stage campaign against Spain (Thursday, 04/09, 21:30).
