Last season’s standings

Last season’s standings
The tenth matchday of the Super League has been completed, with the 14 teams in the division now facing the final international break of 2025.

PAOK’s defeat at Leoforos allowed Olympiacos to remain at the top of the standings, sitting on 25 points and having dropped points only in away derbies.

It’s particularly interesting to look at how the current league table compares to that of last season after ten rounds, as the data are quite different.

Olympiacos (+7 points, +3 positions)

Last season, the “Reds” had recorded just five wins in their first ten league games, drawing with Panetolikos, Levadiakos, and Panathinaikos, and losing to Asteras AKTOR and Aris. As a result, they were fourth in the standings, three points off the top.

This year, José Luis Mendilibar’s team has only dropped points at Leoforos and Toumba, winning the other eight matches. That puts them seven points ahead of last season’s tally and three places higher.

PAOK (+3 points, same position)

Just like this season, at the end of matchday 10 last year PAOK were second in the standings. In 2024/25, the “Double-Headed Eagle of the North” had 20 points, one point behind the leaders, whereas this season they have three more—though they are now two points off first place.

The difference essentially comes down to one extra win this year for Razvan Lucescu’s side: 7-2-1 compared to 6-2-2 a year ago.

AEK (+4 points, same position)

AEK have performed better than last season at this stage, even though their position in the standings remains identical. Last year, they had a 5-3-2 record and 18 points after ten matches—level with Olympiacos and three points behind the leaders.

This season, Marko Nikolić’s team have recorded 7-1-2, gathering 22 points, though once again they trail the top spot by three.

Panathinaikos (-1 point, same position)

Just like last season, Panathinaikos have had a sluggish start, finding themselves in sixth place. The “Greens” do have one point fewer than at this time last year, but they’ve also played one game less, as their match against OFI was postponed.

The gap from the top is double what it was a year ago (-10 compared to -5), with Panathinaikos having played nine matches instead of ten like their rivals.

The rest: Decline for Aris, major improvement for Levadiakos

Around this time last year, Aris were impressing everyone, sitting first with 21 points. This season, however, things look very different. The “Yellows” have eight points fewer, dropping six places and showing a negative goal difference (-2 compared to +8 last year).

Levadiakos, on the other hand, are the surprise package, collecting 18 points so far. A year ago, after ten rounds, they had only six points, were second-to-last, and hadn’t won a single game!

Volos have also improved, sharing fourth place with Levadiakos, whereas last season at this stage they had eight points fewer and were in 11th place.

Asteras AKTOR and OFI have both regressed—Asteras currently have seven points and sit 11th, while last year they had 16 and were fifth. As for OFI, they are second-to-last with six points, compared to 14 points and 8th place at this time last season.
