How Pafos FC’s revenues in the Champions League arise
Pafos FC, in their historic first appearance in the league phase of the top interclub competition, have already secured revenues exceeding 25 million euros! The counter keeps ticking, and where it will stop will depend on the Pafian team’s course in the competition.

The champions of Cyprus, by entering the League Phase of the competition of the stars, had guaranteed revenues of 21,111,000 euros! The two points earned in the league phase of the Champions League — against Olympiacos Piraeus in the opener and Kairat on matchday 3 — locked another 1,400,000 euros into the club’s coffers. The historic 1–0 victory over Villarreal, the first by a Cypriot team in the Champions League final phase after 14 whole years, brought in another 2,100,000 euros, while draw (2–2) against Monaco brings another 700,000 euros into the bank.

Guaranteed revenues already amount to 25,311,000 euros, and the counter keeps running. The amount will increase — possibly significantly — depending on the points earned in the next three matchdays and the final position in the standings.

How Pafos FC’s revenues in the Champions League arise

Upon entering the League Phase, you already have 18.62 million euros in your pocket.

This comes from the first part, which concerns the clubs’ 5-year presence and broadcasting rights. Pafos FC will receive 1,900,000 euros from this portion, while from the part related to the 10-year club presence, Juan Carlos Carcedo’s team will receive 300,000 euros. Beyond that, all teams — even if they finish with 0 points — will receive another 275,000 euros. The amount increases depending on the position in the final standings. The 36th-placed team will get 275,000 euros, the 35th will receive 550,000 euros, the 34th will get 825,000 euros, and so on.

How the amount each club receives is calculated:

• Two rankings are calculated: based on the country’s broadcasting value and the club’s 5-year UEFA coefficient.
• The average of the positions for each club is taken.
• The final position is determined from that average.
• A corresponding amount is paid based on the position, from 1 to 36 shares, starting at €935,000 per share.

The money from wins and draws

• Win: €2,100,000 per match
• Draw: €700,000 per match

The undistributed sums from draws (€700,000 per match) will be allocated proportionally based on the final standings of the League Phase.

Additional bonuses:

• Positions 1 to 8: +€2,000,000 per team
• Positions 9 to 16: +€1,000,000 per team
• Qualification to the play-offs (before the Round of 16): +€1,000,000
• Qualification to the Round of 16: +€11,000,000
• Qualification to the quarter-finals: +€12,500,000
• Qualification to the semi-finals: +€15,000,000
• Qualification to the final: +€18,500,000
• Winning the Champions League: +€6,500,000 extra

Pafos FC inside the Top 24
The 5th matchday of the Champions League League Phase was completed on Wednesday (27/11) with nine fixtures played, with Pafos FC adding another extremely valuable point to their tally after the 2–2 draw with Monaco at the Al
f
amega Stadium.

With six points, Juan Carlos Carcedo’s team sits in 24th place, on track for qualification to the knockout play-offs for the Round of 16 of the top interclub competition. The champions of Cyprus are above giants and traditional powers of European football and have solid hopes of going far in their historic first appearance in the Champions League.

The teams finishing in the top 8 qualify directly for the Round of 16. Those finishing from 9th to 24th place will fight for qualification through two-leg knockout ties, while the teams finishing from 25th to 36th will be eliminated from European competitions. Everything comes down to fine margins, and last season taught us that tiebreakers play a significant role in the final standings.
