AEK and Omonia were both held to draws against Aberdeen and Lausanne respectively, in the 3rd matchday of the League Phase of the Conference League.
AEK drew 0–0 against the Scots, missing an important opportunity to gain three more points, while Omonia held on for a 1–1 draw in a dramatic finish, thanks to Uzoho’s penalty save in the 90’+9.
The yellow-greens, who remain unbeaten, reached seven points in the competition, dropping to 4th place in the standings. Lausanne, Rayo Vallecano, and Strasbourg all have the same number of points.
With their second draw in the competition, the greens reached two points and currently sit in 29th place, just one point (-1) outside the top 24. Häcken also have two points, while Dynamo Kyiv – Omonia’s next opponent – sit in 24th place with three points, along with Lech Poznań, Legia Warsaw, Zrinjski, and AZ Alkmaar.
