Table tennis betting strategies help maximise your winnings and insure you against losses. We reveal how to choose matches and provide examples of tactics to use with mismatched athletes.
Chasing set totals
This strategy works well for matches with a clear favourite and outsider. If there's a major difference in the opponents' skill level, the points in a set will likely be below 18.5. If the bet on the first set doesn't win, the player then increases their wager according to the formula and bets on the second set.
total
chasing
The chasing formula helps players control their bet amount. It helps calculate the minimum bet size required for the player to earn a profit if the bet wins. When a bet wins, the winnings received cover the money lost throughout the strategy and earn the player a profit. If bets aren't made according to the formula, the player won't recoup their losses, or they'll spend their entire pot on the first few bets.
Here's the chasing formula:(x + y) ÷ (k - 1)
x – potential winnings of the first bet in the strategy y – amount lost in previous iterations k – eventodds

- If the bet doesn't win, increase your wager according tothechasing formula andbet onthenext set.
- If the bet wins, end the strategy.
How to choose matches
Choose matches that are best of five, not best of three. This will give you more time to compensate for the lost bets and win. If the match is best of three, your maximum bet series will be three, so there is a risk that none of the bets will win.
Rate the opponents based on recent match statistics, not by odds in Sports. Sometimes, the favourite may not be in peak form, but their status in the sport artificially lowers the odds for a win.
Insured outsider bet in Live
This strategy works well for matches where the outsider has been performing well and the favourite has been losing recent games. Players bet in on the outsider winning the set. If the favourite starts losing, this causes the their odds to increase, which is exactly when it's best to bet on them to win. Regardless of how the match ends, the player will at least not lose anything.

Study the statistics of the opponents and pay attention to which sets the players perform best in. If the favourite plays poorly at the end of a match, while the outsider, on the contrary, usually scores more points, bet on 3–4 sets.
Chasing a favourite win with a handicap
This strategy works well for games where the opponents are reasonably well matched. The player assesses the athletes, determines which one has the highest chances of winning, and bets on the favourite to win in the first set with a negative handicap. If the bet doesn't win, the player increases their wager according to the bets on the next set.

andStrategy fundamentals
- Choose a match where the opponents have relatively similar skill levels. Matches where the favourite has been performing poorly recently while theoutsider is in peak form work best.
- Bet on the favourite winning with a negative handicap.
- If the bet loses, increase your wager using the chasing formula andbet on the favourite to win with a handicap in the second set.
- If the bet wins, you can end the strategy.
How to choose matches
Choose matches where the favourite doesn't have a major advantage. A bet on them winning the set will have high odds. In matches with a clear favourite, even a bet to win with a handicap (-2.5) will have odds of around 1.50.
Choose a handicap with a lower value, so -1.5 is better than -2.5 with this strategy. The lower the handicap, the lower the risk.
Chasing a favourite win with a handicap at the end of a match
The player in Live waits until one of the athletes reaches the set point. Then the player bets on the favourite winning with a negative handicap. The handicap should be greater than the difference between the opponents. For example, if the difference is 4 points, bet on the favourite to win with a handicap of -4.5.
The set point is 10 accumulated points. A player who has reached set point needs to score one more point to win the set.
Most games end in victory for the player who first wins the set point. The losing player normally chooses to not contest the victory and instead save energy for the next set. Decisive sets aren't good for this strategy because after the favourite wins, the match ends.
If the strategy seems too risky for you, then place a series of bets. For example, if the score is 10:6, a bet on a win with a handicap of -4.5 will not work. In this case, in the next draw with a score of 10:7, bet on a win with a handicap of -3.5. Calculate the bet amount based on the

- If the bet doesn't win, bet on a handicap win inthenext draw orwait forthenext set.
How to choose matches
Choose matches where the score difference is more than 2 points to the set point. If the difference is small, the losing player has a good chance of winning the match, in which case this strategy won't work. If the difference is more than 2 points, then you'll have at least 4 attempts to win back what you lost by chasing.
