Football betting strategies in Live

Live football betting strategies in Fonbet
Live football betting strategies help you evaluate the course of the game and place a bet taking into account how the teams are playing.

Total less than 0.5 in the second half

This strategy works when betting on low-scoring leagues, where the average total does not exceed 3, and the score 1:0 or 0:1 occurs in at least 15% of matches.

Matches of the championships of Russia and France work well with this strategy, but not the German championships

The player watches the first half. If the teams score at least one goal, then the player bets that there will not be any goals in the second half. If the bet loses, they makes the same bet in another match (the teams will not score in the second half). The bet amount stays the same.
Odds must be at least 4.00. The higher the odds, the fewer bets will be required to earn a profit in the long run.
To earn a profit, you need to correctly predict the outcome of every third match. To increase the winning percentage, bet on teams of equal strength that do not score many goals. The winning team will not relax until the end of the game and will keep the points scored low.

Bet on sending-off in the second half

Matches between rivals suit this strategy well, including derbies, teams competing for the hampionship title, and historical competitors. These matches are usually intense, so players often break the rules and earn yellow cards which leads to being sent off.
In 10 Real Madrid and Atlético derbies from 2018 to 2021, the teams earned a total of 4 red cards.
The player watches the first 30 minutes of the matches. If the players foul a lot and have already earned at least two yellow cards, then you should bet that there will be a red card in the match. If there are no yellow cards, then the player looks for another match to bet on. The earlier the bet is placed, the higher the odds will be.

Goal at the end of a match

The strategy works in the second half. If one of the teams leads by 1 goal and both teams have intense attacks, then the player bets that there will be a goal in the second half.
To increase your chances of winning, bet on matches between teams that score at least 2 goals on average. If in the first 80 minutes the clubs scored only one goal each, then at the end of the match there will most likely be another goal scored.
Consider the match's importance. Matches between opponents with high motivation increase the chances of a late goal if one of the teams leads by a narrow margin. Both participants need a win, so the losing team will attack until the end of the game and try to at least end the match in a draw.

Total corner kicks

The strategy is suitable for matches between teams with a big difference in performance results. If an outsider is leading the score 20-30 minutes before the end of the match, then you should bet on the favourite's TO corners. If the bet does not win, then the player increases the bet amount based on the chasing formula and bets on another suitable match.
Chasing formula

S = (X + Y) ÷ (k - 1)
  • S – bet amount

  • X – estimated winnings from the first bet
  • Y – amount lost during the strategy
  • k – odds of the selected event
The chasing formula helps calculate the bet size so the amount does not empty the player's bank and, if it wins, is guaranteed to recoup all the money lost.
To increase the chances of winning, consider how the teams are playing. For example, if an outsider substitutes attacking players for defensive players and starts to focus on defence, then the match is reasonable to bet on. In these conditions, the favourite will have more space in the centre of the field and a higher percentage of ball possession. Thanks to this advantage, the favourite will often pass into the penalty area and take shots on goal, and the outsider's defenders will kick the ball out of bounds.

Insurance in Live

Insuring bets in Live helps compensate a portion of losses. This strategy is based around placing two bets:
  • in Pre-match, the player bets on any event;

  • if the player is not sure if it will win, then in Live they place a bet on the opposite result.
The downside of this strategy is that out of the two bets, only one will win. The amount won is always less than it could be without insuring the bet, but the player protects themselves from losing the full bet amount.
The player can even end up with profit. If the odds of both bets are greater than 2.00, then the player will earn a profit regardless of the outcome of the event.
Insurance example

  • You bet EUR 100 on the individual total of the favourite over 2.5 with odds of 2.05.

  • In the first half, the outsider defended well, and the top scorer on the favourite's team was injured. At the end of the half, the favourite scores a goal.
  • You are not sure that without their best attacking player, the favourite will score two more goals. So you insure the first bet and bet EUR 100 on an individual total of the favorite of less than 2.5 with odds of 2.10.
The final match results are not important. If the favourite scores more than two goals, then the first bet will win and you will get
EUR
205. If there are two or fewer goals, then the second bet will win and you will get
EUR
210. In total, you spent
EUR
200, so in any event you will end up with a profit.
